Hot Tot Spotless Tot, A very special Thank you to Hot Tot for providing me with this product for review! I was not compensated for this review and all thoughts are my own.

I first heard about Hot Tot products one night while my husband and I were watching Shark Tank. We were listening to Megan Gage (owner/developer) talk about her product line and what made it unique, what really struck us was that it was a natural product, hypoallergenic and lightly scented. As a mom to two little ones with skin issues including Keratosis Pilaris and Eczema, as well as several food allergies including nuts and gluten, it has been really tough for me to find hair and body products for my kids that don't make them break out in a rash or worsen the eczema or KP. As we listened more, Megan spoke to the fact that this was safe for and specifically developed for kids and babies, that it would be perfect to use on kids suffering from eczema, I was hooked!! I watched eagerly to see if anyone made her an offer and sure enough, Mark Cuban did, citing that he had kids suffering with eczema and had many of the same issues we were facing with our kids. Fast forward to today...

I received this product courtesy of Hot Tot, and I am not being paid to write a review or anything of the sort. I am simply a mommy blogger who REALLY wanted to see how this product worked on my kids. Much to my pleasure and surprise, this product has been exactly what I hoped it would be, my go to, safe product for my kids, we have been using it for about a week and we have not encountered any rashes or an increase in issues with eczema or KP, in fact, the eczema on my daughters arms is clearing up a bit. The first thing my daughter said when I used this on her was, " mommy!!! This smells soooo good!!!" I have to agree with her, this product has a great, light scent. On the website it is described as being inspired by cabbage patch kids, and it certainly resembles that scent. It doesn't linger like some other children's products scents do, but you can still smell it on you little ones the next day when you snuggle close.

I tested Spottless Tot on my son first, after a lunch where he got COVERED in yogurt and who knows what else!

After this yucky lunch mess we tested the Hot Tot Spotless Tot for the first time...The results were great! He came clean in one swipe, smelled fantastic, and the Spotless Tot got ALL of the yogurt and gunk out of his hair, which was exactly what I needed, I mean really, what busy mom has time to rewash their kids hair with a second product because the first one didn't work??

It only took four pumps of Spotless Tot to clean him completely from head to toe, which was great!

My daughter was excited to use this all on her own and be a big girl, the only draw back was that due to her thick hair I had to use several more pumps just on her hair never mind her body. I feel that if I continue to use this on her, I will go through a lot of it because of her hair.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic product. I would absolutely suggest to any parent of kids with allergy/skin issues to try this line out. I fully intend to try out more of the products from this line, especially the shampoo and conditioner for toddlers/kids, I think that may be a better fit for my daughters hair care needs.

Safety First Complete Air 65

Up today is a review of our car seats! The Safety First Complete air 65 in flutter and the complete air 65 LX in chromite.

Complete air 65 in flutter

Complete air 65 LX in Chromite

We have had the flutter patter for almost 2 years now and we LOVE this car seat!! I feel like this seat is a very safe seat with the side impact air protection. This seat is easy to use, I love that you do not need to rethread the straps as your child grows, the headrest is fully adjustable and moves the shoulder straps up and down with the two tabs at the top, it has an easy to use release for the straps themselves and it seems to be a very comfortable car seat! This particular seat is forward facing in my vehicle and the one in chromite is rear facing in my vehicle. These seats are taller than many convertible seats which was one reason we purchased this specific style as my husband is very tall and both of our children are also tall for their ages, these seats allow for a decent height range, and the seats are a bit wider so kids can comfortably sit with their legs crossed (indian style) while rear facing if you chose to utilize extended rear facing and allowing your child to rear face to the limits of this seat (which is now the recommendation). Also, the air protect on the headrest makes for fantastic pillows :) my kids always fall asleep leaning up against them!

The only cons to these seats that I have found are that 1. they are difficult to install when in the rear facing position- it took us several attempts to get a good install and still ended up taking them to a car seat safety inspector to be installed properly, we also needed to use pool noodles to get the proper angle on the install due to the seats of my vehicle (jeep grand Cherokee), 2. these seats are rather large, as a result we had to turn our older child forward facing sooner than we had planned (these seats can rear face to 40lbs which is excellent!!), we could not fit tow of these seats side by side rear facing in my vehicle, also they are rather tall seats and only fit rear facing in the center position in my jeep. The only difference that I could find between the regular and the LX was that the LX has an adjustable "base" type thing meant to make it easier to get a proper install especially while rear facing, in my opinion it is not worth the extra $50-$60 for the LX model as we still needed to put pool noodles under it to get the proper level for installation while rear facing. I should also note that in my jeep I don't have latch in the center seat position and so the rear facing seat is installed with the seat belt, but the forward facing one is installed using latch which made installing it very easy!

Graco Ready2Grow

First up, our new-ish (had it for a few months now) double stroiller, the Graco ready2grow LX in odyssey. I purchased this stroller from toys r us after much frustration with our original double stroller (the Graco quatro tour duo). The ready2grow LX features two seats one traditional forward facing seat with a 5- 3 point harness, and a rear facing seat that also features a 3-5 point harness. the rear facing seat is removable and when removed it reveals a bench seat underneath with a 3 point strap as well as a standing board so it can be used as a sit and stand. this stoller is bigger than the standard Graco single strollers, but smaller than the quatro tour duo, it is a bit heavy and can be bulky, but is well worth the bulk to keep the almost 3 year old happy when out shopping, traveling or just on a walk. this stroller can be used with just on child in it as well without the risk of tipping, which is not the case with the quatro tour. I am a huge fan or the ready2grow sit and stand stroller by Graco, it keeps my almost 3 year old happy allowing her freedom to walk or ride as she pleases and allows my 15 month old a comfortable seat. it has a fold out parent cup holder and a kids tray on the front but no rear tray, and a large basket for storage underneath.

This page is the start of my mommy blog experience. I will be using it to review products that I own, that others own and we try out, and items that companies send us to test out! If there are items you'd love to see a review on that is meant for family, or kids please let me know and I will do my best to review it, or find a way to review it!
